Thank you for your interest in Warden Abbey Vineyard and its wines.
Warden Abbey Vineyard was planted in 1986 on the site of the medieval vineyard of Warden Abbey. Following 25 successful years and many awards, we decided to "retire" from vineyard activities. Following the sale of the last of our own wine stocks, this website closed in January 2013.
Happily, the tradition of vine growing is continuing at Warden Abbey Vineyard. Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity and Shuttleworth College took a lease on the vineyard in 2010 and it is now being run as a not-for profit community and education enterprise, and is continuing to produce award-winning wines. The vines are now tended all year round by dedicated volunteers, Please do visit their new website at www.wardenvineyard.org.uk for the latest news from the vineyard, wine sales, and how you can get involved.
Thank you for all your support over the years,
